    Event Description:
    As of April 22, 2010, federal law required that any contractor performing renovation, repair and painting (RRP) projects that disturb more than six square feet of paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 MUST be certified and trained to follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.

    Benefits of Attending:
    • Using EPA recognized test kits to determine the presence of lead on painted surfaces
    • Setting up barriers, signage, and entry doors to protect work areas
    • Donning and doffing personal protective equipment
    • Conducting EPA required Cleaning Verification procedures at the conclusion of a project
